Biografía

La banda de folk metal Alestorm surgió en Perth, Escocia. Anteriormente tenía el nombre de Battleheart, la música tiene temática sobre piratas y algunos cuentos de cultura popular, siendo los pioneros de su propio estilo denominado como True Scottish Pirate Metal.

En el 2004 bajo el nombre de Battleheart debutaron en la escena musical, durante el año 2006 sacaron dos demos (EPs): Battleheart y Terror on the High Seas. Cuándo adoptaron el nombre de Alestorm fue el 25 de Enero de 2008.
